Hi, we’re Jon and Don — two doctors working in one of New York City’s busiest hospitals by day and pickleball enthusiasts by night. While our medical careers keep us on our toes, pickleball has been our way to unwind, stay active, and connect with others amidst the chaos. The only challenge? Finding time to practice effectively.
Our Story
Doctors by Day, Pickleball Players by Night
We met during medical residency and quickly bonded over our shared love for sports and competition. Long hours and demanding schedules made it tough to prioritize our hobbies, but we refused to let that stop us from improving our pickleball game. After countless late-night shifts, we often discussed how much easier it would be if we could practice at home whenever we had a spare moment. That’s when the idea for The Dink’r was born.

We designed The Dink’r Training Device to make pickleball practice accessible anywhere — living room, garage, or backyard. It’s compact enough for tight spaces yet tough enough for repeated sessions.
